"SLOEMS"                  

"Sloems" are the way we advertise around the building (a la Burma Shave ads of yesteryear) and try to make you smile; they are an admixture (get it?) of slogans and poems.  Here are a few we've used.  Please try your hand at writing one for us.  If we use it, you get a free drink of your choice and all credit is given to you here on this site and at the shop!

 

The maximum sloem length is 8 lines, preferably no more than 6 words per line.

Wanna feel happy?  Try a frappe(y)!

 

Want something hot?  This is the spot!

 

Beat the heat with an ice cold treat.

 

Come in the morning

or come in the evening

Come when you're looked for

or come without warning.

A happy welcome

you'll find here to greet you.

And the oftener you come here,

the nicer we'll treat you!*
